ProperShop Garage Door Services (“ProperShop”) is San Diego’s premier residential garage door services provider, and we are looking for a motivated Service Tech. Our success is built around the idea that everything we do, we do the right way – Everything Done Proper! To that end, we have two incredibly important goals: (1) to deliver the very highest level of service and workmanship to our customers and (2) provide the most rewarding, team-oriented workplace for our employees. 

As a Service Tech, you are the engine of what makes ProperShop’s business successful and will be responsible for the sales and performance of residential garage door services, including repairing and replacing garage door openers, springs, cables, drums, rollers and more. Service Techs work independently but with the constant support of the entire ProperShop team. You will be provided with a tablet, tools and a vehicle to perform service calls at various locations throughout the workday. 

No college education or prior garage door experience is necessary. We will provide you with ongoing training and support, so you can be successful at your job, which means you’ll enjoy what you do and make more money doing it! Eligibility:

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent

• Must possess a valid California drivers’ license

• Must have no more than two (2) points on your driving record and pass a motor vehicle check

• Must pass a background check

• Must be able to work after hours, on weekends and on holidays with minimal notice

• Safe use of hand tools and basic power tools
• Use of tablet for project documentation, creating estimates and collecting payments

• Lift and carry seventy-five (75) pounds or more
• Climb and work from a ladder
• Stand, bend down and kneel for extended periods of time
